02Behind the work
A little about me.
I’m Johan, a software developer based in Lima. I like understanding how things work, and making them work better.
A Computer Science graduate from PUCP, I build web applications, ERPs and CRMs with a focus on practical, reliable solutions. My work spans full-stack development, deployment and the details that make a product useful.
For my thesis, I built an OpenMRS module that connects with Perú’s National Electronic Health Records Registry using HL7 FHIR. It brought together two things I enjoy: complex systems and work with a real-world impact.
I work across frontend, backend and deployment, with a focus on reliable systems, integrations and maintainable code.

Aug 2025 - PresentSIH.SALUS · PUCP / GIDISSoftware Developer — Health Systems · Hybrid
Development and implementation of the electronic health record system for Hospital Santa Clotilde with PUCP’s Software Engineering Research and Development Group (GIDIS). Responsible for the admissions module and integration of healthcare interoperability standards, adapting the solution to limited connectivity.
- In August 2026, travelled with the team to Santa Clotilde, in the remote Napo River basin, to deploy admissions, triage, pharmacy, laboratory and outpatient consultation modules.
- Transported and installed the server and a UPS with the team, preparing the deployment for unstable power and internet connectivity. Personally trained admissions staff, followed up on system use and delivered improvements after deployment.
